3 Steps To Great Wi-Fi during COVID!

Hello Educators!

Are your teachers and parents complaining about poor Wi-Fi and Internet speeds and the impact on classroom teaching and learning? WiFi that is seamless to access and highly reliable is critical to attracting and retaining students, especially in the current climate of evolving and hybrid learning environments.

Get Started in 3 Steps!

  1. Take inventory of where you are today - If your network is older than 5 years it’s likely time for an upgrade. Wi-Fi standards and performance capabilities have changed significantly since 2015. Newer devices can make use of better Wi-Fi whether the device is at school or at home.

  2. Schools are unique - If you’re not using a commercial solution that is purpose-built for schools, your classroom experience will be poor, especially considering the additional demands Zoom and other multi-media apps add to the network. Keep in mind that how your Wi-Fi equipment is deployed matters immensely, and that MORE access points is not always helpful, and can in fact degrade performance.

  3. Students and staff have different needs - your wired and Wi-Fi network should provide isolation and proper safety policy between staff and student devices. The goal is to ensure staff and student devices can consistently and seamlessly connect to the network and perform well in the classroom and campus-wide.
